Hello, I am a Visual Effects Supervisor/Lead Flame located in the Los Angeles area.    Passion:  I have been deeply in love with the entire art and craft of creating visual stimulus through the effective use of moving images, a medium with such a rich language and a unique grammar of its own.  My weakness is beautiful imagery.  Imagery that communicates and evokes human emotions. And anything which contributes to making or is part of the process responsible for creating such visuals is my passion.  Whether its discussing ideas during the pre-pro, filming original shots/plates or stills on set with production or filming footage for my own personal projects with my own camera rig, or whether its designing something entirely from scratch starting with a blank canvas (electronic or organic) or working with existing visuals for recreating reality (composting, color, etc.), I enjoy every moment of being part of any of those processes, be it conceptual, theoretical, or technical in nature. Current Brush of Choice:  Due to the sheer speed and efficiency (afforded by its context-sensitive "Artist Interface" user interface design) resulting in it being able to keep up with the lightening speed of the artist' thought process, coupled with the system' stability, and an unmatched creative tool set, Flame has been and still is my primary and The-Go-To tool of choice for creating compelling images, solving some of the most complex visual problems, being able to deliver, as well as for that quick and live experimentation / visualization that Flame is known for, whether flying thru an R&D process or trying to come up with magic during supervised sessions.  I have been using Flame  for about seventeen years as of now and I enjoy every single moment that I spend on it, whether its something as simple as playing back a clip on the Desktop for analyses or as complex as doing a 3D composite with a hundred layers & CG passes.  In short, Its the only dumb box that I know of that inspires creativity at a pure organic and at a much deeper level by virtue of its unique user interface's peerless ability to disappear as a technical hurdle between you as an artist and the creative process, making you completely unaware of the fact that you are actually working on a mere computer (that is until you log out at the end of the day), hence essentially becoming an extension of your mind rather than some technical tool that you just have to struggle through. Stills on the slideshow above are from some of the style frames and a concept test animation that I designed and created for Fox Sports Network, all in Flame. I harnessed the power of the advanced 3D tools of Flame to create the glass objects with their reflective & refractive qualities, while attributes such as thickness, size, the overall look, or any type of movement/animation could be easily and interactively adjusted, live on the fly, without the need of any rendering, an area where Flame has always ruled the rest. I'll be prepping/uploading more work and as I shoot more specs, so please stop by again.    Thanks for visiting.
